Rugby fish and chip shop introduces coley to its menu...

A fish and chip shop in Rugby has introduced coley to its menu.

The decision by Hillmorton Fish Saloon, in Featherbed Lane, follows a campaign by TV chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall for chippies to sell more sustainable fish.

Coley is a sweet-tasting fish with a light texture, and a slightly greyer complexion than cod.

A fisherman told me that fish & chip shops have been selling coley and whiting for years but passing them off as cod :!:
