I used to pay via council provided slips at my bank. Last year the :censored: at the council decided not to supply these slips. I emailed them requesting them as it made my life easier. After a couple of months I had a simple reply that told me it was no longer Council policy to issue such slips.

Fair enough, I'm sometimes forgetful and on a few occasions this year 'forgot' my council tax payment date. I made a point of deliberately paying late. Guess what though? Every time they sent me a reminder, they sent me a paying in slip!

If ar$eholes could fly, that place would be an airport!
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

After reading your comment just on the council not suppling slips I phoned asking for slips he said the same they dont supply them so I explained I suffer panick attacks and only go out locally and I dont do direct debit he checked my details and said thats fine they will send out slips for me to pay with my bill. Strange how I can pay my bedroom tax on a card at the post office through my rent off housing but not the council tax.

Years ago in the 70s to mid 80s rent council tax (rates as it was then called )and water was all in one with paying your rent which was £5.00 per week. Every year you got a £60.00 rate rebate back they then split all the three bills up to pay each seperately the rebate ceased from then on..

Maybe they'll remember my request from last year and send me some this coming year? - Mind you, that would require a modicum of forethought and adequate record keeping. :hysterical:
