The incident involved a motorbike and the pedestrian
A man has been seriously injured after a hit and run in Cheylesmore this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Daventry Road just before 12.30pm.
The collision happened between the man, in his 70s, and a motorbike.
The motorbike however did not stay at the scene and police are now appealing to anyone who may have seen the bike and the person or people riding it.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Sergeant Lee Froggatt from the West Midlands Police Traffic Unit, said: “We’re urgently need to find this bike and the person/people riding it.
“I’m also appealing to anyone who saw anything and hasn’t yet spoken to us to get in touch."
