A decision whether to close seven fire stations in Warwickshire will be made on 20 July.
Warwick, Bidford, Brinklow, Kenilworth, Studley, Fenny Compton and Bedworth stations are under threat of closure.
Councillor Richard Hobbs, the county council's portfolio holder for community protection, said 3,000 people were consulted over the matter.
The council has said the changes were not to cut costs but to improve services.
Protest marches against the closures have been held and petitions handed in to the council.
The closure plans were first announced last year with a decision due to be made in December 2009. The decision was delayed so the council could look at the proposals and consultation results closely.
