Drugs were seized and two Coventry teens arrested after a police car chase in Rugby

Police identified a cloned Ford Focus before tracking it to the A45 on Saturday (December 15).

The team used stinger tactics to stop the driver who rammed the police car when they attempted to box it in.

No one was injured but the police car was severely damaged.

A young man from Coventry was arrested on two counts of suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply, taking a vehicle without consent, failure to stop, dangerous driving, driving under the influence of drugs, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

The 17-year-old has been released under investigation.

A 15-year-old girl from Coventry was arrested on two counts of suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply but has since been released with no further action.

Cocaine, cannabis, weighing scales and several mobile phones were seized.

Police suspect the pair were involved with county lines dealing where gangs supply drugs from big cities to vulnerable users in smaller towns and rural areas.
