Residents catch speeding drivers in Coventry

A joint operation between police and residents caught 63 motorists breaking the speed limit in one week in an area of Coventry.

West Midlands Police and Bablake residents carried out a 'Community Speed Watch' in Brownshill Green Road, Norman Place Road, Browns Lane and Birmingham Road.

Residents monitored car speeds with speed watch cameras, a spokesman said.

Drivers breaking the speed limit had warning letters sent to their homes.

The speed watch was carried out last week.
