Drivers are being urged to avoid the area
Motorists are being warned that a main route in Nuneaton has been forced to close due to a burst water main.
Highways bosses have been forced to shut Atherstone Road and drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
The road, which is a main route into and out of Hartshill, has been hit by a water main leak.
The closure on Atherstone Road starts around 35 metres from the junction with Apple Pie Lane and goes on for about 50 metres.
It is not clear how long the road will be closed for but it is understood that Severn Trent Water engineers are on the scene.
