They've been seen all over the city

Hundreds of bikers have been seen riding around different parts of Coventry today.

They've been spotted on Coventry Ring Road, the A444 and in areas including Coundon, Tile Hill and Radford.

It comes exactly one year to the day after the death of Tyrone Evans who died in a quad bike crash on September 15, 2017.

The 21-year-old, who was also known as Mr Mechanic, was killed after a crash on the A444 near to the Cyan Business Park.

On the day of Tyrone's funeral in October 2017, a huge cavalcade of bikes, quads and cars followed behind a bike and sidecar hearse that was carrying Tyrone’s coffin.

The procession of bikes seemed to be anticipated by West Midlands Police who tweeted about "the expected large motorbike turnout".

It has now been stated that a "number of arrests" have been made for motoring offences.

The police helicopter has also been seen following the bikes as they make their way across the city.

"Arrests"? "West Midlands Police"? No such thing!

Riders arrested and vehicles seized during organised mass motorbike ride in Coventry city centre

Four people were arrested after an organised ride saw hundreds of bikers driving around Coventry yesterday.

A large police operation was launched yesterday - in response to the planned ride.

Titled Operation Rathbone, it saw West Midlands Police 's Force Response Unit deployed to the city.

In total, four people were arrested during the course of the event while officers also seized vehicles, taking them off the road.

The arrests were made for theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop, and obstructing police.

Some eight motorcycles and quad bikes were seized during the day, two of which were stolen.

Of these, only one was deemed road legal, but was seized under powers to tackle anti-social use of vehicles.

The police helicopter was also spotted yesterday, following the bikes as they made their way across the city.

It is virtually impossible to count just how many bikers were out on the roads yesterday, but they were spotted across the city - on Coventry Ring Road, the A444 and in areas including Coundon, Tile Hill and Radford.

A heavy police presence was noticed around the city centre for the duration of the event.

These 'bikers' aren't exactly over smart are they? They have stolen and unroadworthy bikes, yet draw attention to themselves by riding like fools.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
