A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Coventry.
Police were called to the scene in The Coppice, Stoke Aldermoor, shortly before 9pm on Tuesday, September 11.
Part of the area outside SI News and Off Licence was taped off as officers investigated the scene.
Witnesses said the man had walked 200 yards with his injuries from The Coppice to the junction of the Barley Lea.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent several resources to the scene, including the critical care car from the air ambulance.
They treated a man who had suffered serious injuries in the incident.
A witness to the incident, who did not wish to be named, told CoventryLive: "The man had a knife sticking out of his left side, between his hip and his ribs. He was lying on his side.
"The girl and the man giving him first aid were telling him he would be OK. She had her handbag under his head."
West Midlands Police have been asked to provide details on the incident.
