Masked robbers raid social club armed with hammer and a knife

Three masked men threatened staff at a Coventry social club with a hammer and a knife during an armed robbery.

The daring raid happened at the Broadstreet RFC social club, in Henley Road, between 11.20pm and 11.40pm on Sunday night.

The knife was brandished at a member of staff who was forced to hand over cash, before the gang fled through the front of the building.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101, giving crime reference 20CV/189577V/18.
