A man has been arrested after the death of a man in Bedworth.

Emergency services were called to a property in Croft Pool in the town earlier on Saturday.

They first tweeted just after 12.30pm to say: "We are currently in attendance at a property on Croft Pool in Bedworth.

"Officers are on the scene and are dealing with enquiries ongoing.

"We’ll update with more information when we have it."

Officers remained at the property all day, and into Saturday evening and later announced the death of a man.

Warwickshire Police later tweeted to say a 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

They said: "Police remain at Croft Pool in Bedworth following the death of a man earlier today.

"A 27-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident is currently in police custody.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident 185 of 23 June."

Two arrested on suspicion of murder following death of man in Bedworth

Two men have been arrested as part of a murder investigation after a man was found with multiple injuries inside a property.

Police were called to the house in Croft Pool, Bedworth, shortly before midday.

A man in his 30s was found with a number of injuries but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four people have now been arrested in connection with the incident.

A 37-year-old man from Bedworth has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody at this time.

A 28-year-old man from Bedworth has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on police bail.

A 39-year-old man from Bedworth has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and handling stolen goods, and a 40-year-old man from Bedworth has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They have both been released under investigation.

A cordon remains in place around the property while investigations continue.

The man's next of kin has been informed. Formal identification is yet to take place.

Man charged with murder after body found at Bedworth property

A man has been charged with murder after a body was found inside a property in Bedworth over the weekend.

Police were called to a property in Croft Pool, Bedworth, shortly before midday on Saturday, where they discovered the body of a man.

He has now been named as 39-year-old Julian Perry. His next of kin have been informed.

Last night, Jonathan Cramp, of no fixed address, was charged with murder.

The 37-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear at Warwickshire Magistrates' Court later today.

A 27-year-old man from Bedworth who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on police bail.

And a 39-year-old man from Bedworth who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and handling stolen goods, and a 40-year-old man from Bedworth who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have both been released under investigation.
