The ExtraCare Charitable Trust has announced it will be starting the second phase of its Earlsdon Park Village development this summer
Coventry’s biggest retirement community is expanding and this is what it will look like when it’s done.
More than 60 brand new homes for the city’s older people are being created by Coventry-based charity the ExtraCare Charitable Trust .
The charity has announced it will be starting the second phase of its Earlsdon Park Village development this summer.
The expansion will create an additional 60 new apartments, bringing the village’s total to 322 homes.
The new one- and two-bedroom apartments will be available with a mix of tenure, in line with the charity’s aim to cater for older people across the community.
When complete, the second phase of Earlsdon Park Village will also provide additional parking spaces and a new landscaped garden area.
It is expected new residents will be able to move in towards the end of 2019.
Kevin Willetts, ExtraCare's executive director of development and sales, said: “As a local charity celebrating our 30th year supporting older people in this city we’re delighted we can move forward with phase two.
“We have a waiting list for this village and this extension will ensure more local people benefit from the health and well-being, care and lifestyle services we have on offer here.”
