Warrens boasts a baking heritage stretching back more than 150 years
The world’s oldest Cornish pasty maker has opened for business in Kenilworth.
Warrens Bakery is located in the Talisman Shopping Centre and its Kenilworth opening has seen the creation of six jobs.
The new outlet will showcase the artisan bakery’s range of breads, hand-crimped pasties and sweet and savoury treats both to eat in or take away.
Warrens boasts a baking heritage stretching back more than 150 years, is the oldest bakery in Cornwall and is officially recognised as the world’s oldest Cornish pasty maker.
The Kenilworth outlet is a collaboration between Warrens Bakery and local businessman George Abuaita.
It will be George’s second Warrens Bakery in the Midlands, complementing one in Mere Green, Birmingham, which was the first Warrens to open outside the West Country as part of a UK rollout.
Asked about opening in Kenilworth George said: “I really felt there was a gap in the market for good quality bakery products and a bakery such as Warrens Bakery, offering bakery tradition and freshly baked quality products.”
