Chainsaws were stolen from the van during the break-in in Coventry



This was the damage caused by thieves who peeled a van open like a tin can.

James Dawson posted photos of his damaged van online following the break-in in Eastern Green on December 29 or 30.

He said that the culprits stole three chainsaws and a concrete saw - one of which was a “brand new MS461 which wasn’t cheap”.

James added: “May have taken other stuff but can’t even get in the van to check. Everyone keep an eye out. If you hear anyone down the pub talking or trying to sell chainsaws, report it.”

James also stated that the thieves tried to get in to his shed and a car was reportedly seen leaving the scene around the time of the break-in.

He said the vehicle was a white people carrier with roof bars and blacked out rear windows.
