Joe Austwick was jailed for a total of 18 years when he appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Monday
A man has been jailed for 18 years for shooting at a woman who overheard him having an argument.
Joe Austwick pointed the gun at the woman as she looked out of the window of a neighbouring property.
She dropped to the floor seconds before he pulled the trigger, leaving a bullet lodged in the wall of her kitchen in Canley.
Her children were in the house at the time eating their lunch.
What were the charges?
At Warwick Crown Court on Monday, November 6, Austwick, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder.
He also admitted two counts of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear, one count of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, and one count of possessing drugs with intent to supply.
He was jailed for a total of 18 years and will be on licence for five years after his release.
That's funny, I don't recall any report of a shooting in Canley last June?
