Emergency services were called to Sky Blue Way just before 9am today
A young woman has been seriously injured in a collision with a car in Coventry this morning.
Paramedics and police were called to the outbound side of Sky Blue Way, near the junction with Far Gosford Street, just before 9am.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said a woman in her 20s had been hit by a car and had suffered “a serious leg injury and a suspected neck injury.”
The woman was taken to Coventry’s University Hospital.
It is unclear at this stage if the woman was on a pedestrian crossing at the time of the collision.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Police were called to Sky Blue Way in Coventry at around 9am this morning to a report of a car hitting a pedestrian.
"A woman has been taken to hospital with serious leg injuries."
