Find the thugs who battered student to a pulp - before pushing him into traffic

The attack happened in Gosford Street as the student walked home in the early hours



Police are hunting this man after a student was battered by three thugs and pushed in front of moving traffic.

The victim snapped this photo after he had his arms pinned behind his back and was punched and kicked by the gang in Gosford Street , in the city centre.

The 21-year-old was set upon as he made his way home from university at around 4.30am on Monday, December 5.

One of the three attackers pushed him into the path of moving traffic, before he was held still by another and assaulted by the other two suspects.

When they let go he took his phone out and took a picture of one of them, but was then assaulted for a second time.

He sustained a number of injuries including broken teeth, bruising and swelling.
