Thick fog shrouds Coventry after temperatures plunged to -4C

After a freezing cold night this was the view in Coventry city centre this morning

People across Coventry and Warwickshire woke up to freezing temperatures and a thick blanket of fog this morning.

Temperatures dipped to a frosty -4C overnight, meaning a lot of Coventry woke up to patchy freezing fog.

Coventry city centre was shrouded in the fog, and from the top of the cathedral none of the city could be seen further than a few feet.

At the top of the cathedral tower, nothing could be seen further than Broadgate, and even then, it was a struggle to make out what was what.

Yet, walking into Broadgate, Lady Godiva stood in all her glory without a patch of fog around her.

The same went for the Sir Frank Whittle statue and the Transport Museum, but driving along the ring road, the fog descended once more.

It went very cold very quickly last night. 8.30 I was walking home from having a pint and I was frozen.

Walking the dog this morning, (8.30 ish) I didn't think it was too bad, but I was walking quite briskly.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

The condensation on my wheelie bin is unbelievable but I did at least get it emptied.

Yes it was quite thick round here Dutchman, but had cleared by the time I walked the dog this morning.

Our bins have just been emptied as well! :)
