Postby dutchman » Thu Dec 22, 2016 8:10 pm

A Coventry man stole a charity tin after walking in to a city supermarket.

Ronhan McErlean took the charity box, which was being used to collect money for Guide Dogs, from a Sainsbury’s store on October 12.

He pleaded guilty to theft at Coventry Magistrates’ Court and the 33-year-old, of Vincent Street, Spon End, was given a 12-month conditional discharge.

He was also ordered to pay £40 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
