A blind woman - sat next to her guide dog - had her bag pinched while she was sitting in a city centre council office.

The sickening theft happened in Broadgate House, between 11am and 11.10am on September 9th.

Police say a man walked up to the woman, who is in her 20s and whose guide dog is clearly visible in the CCTV, sat down next to her before grabbing the bag and leaving the office.

Officers are keen to track down the man in the footage because they believe he may have vital information which may be able to assist their investigation.

Anyone with information should call Pc Michael Harkin on 101 ext 8343076, e-mail this address or call Crimestoppers anonymously and for free on 0800 555111.
