The incident took place in Arley on Sunday morningA Coventry man has been arrested after an early morning assault left another man with serious injuries.
The incident took places at around 3.20am on Sunday, October 2, after two men got out of a taxi in Gun Hill, Arley .
A 45-year-old man was then assaulted and sustained serious injuries to his head and face and was taken to hospital by ambulance .
A 27-year-old man from Coventry was arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.
It is thought the victim and suspect know each other.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Warwickshire Police on 101.
