A cannabis factory was found by police who had been called to reports of a burglary in Coventry.

Officers were responding to a 999 call in Beaumont Crescent, Radford, when they came across the cannabis set-up at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, August 3.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “When officers arrived there was no suggestion of a burglary taking place, however they did find a cannabis factory in the rear bedroom.

“There were eight large plants and then six smaller ones in the loft.

“The 43-year-old occupier of the house returned and is due to be voluntarily interviewed this week.”

Anyone with any worries regarding potential cannabis production in their area can call Coventry Police on 101.
