Sixteen-year-old made to strip, tied up and had his head and eyebrows shaved in Coventry houseA terrified teenager was forced to strip, locked in a cupboard and had his head and eyebrows shaved in what has been described as ‘an honour kidnapping’.
The 16-year-old from Nuneaton was put through his two-and-a-half-hour ordeal because his girlfriend’s family were unhappy about his relationship with her, a judge has heard.
Playing a leading role in the teenager’s ‘punishment’ was Pabel Hasan, who pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to charges of false imprisonment and assault.
Hasan, 24, who was living in Coventry but has been detained at the Immigration Removal Centre in Lincoln, was jailed for six years – after which he will be deported.
But his nephew Khalid Alim, 22, of Keresley Close, Keresley , Coventry, who also admitted false imprisonment but was said to have acted under instruction, was sentenced to two years imprisonment, suspended for two years.
