The existing service in Hinckley Road, Walsgrave , is being relocated to Dulai News in Woodway Lane, Woodway Park.

Post Office chiefs say the new service will offer earlier opening and later closing, as well as a service on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings.

The date for the relocation has yet to be confirmed.

Regional manager Will Russell said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.

This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.

“The investment marks a commitment to no more branch closures programmes.”

The new branch will have wheelchair access and a hearing loop.
