Man climbs onto outside edge of bridge over Ring Road

Police were called to a man who climbed onto the outside edge of a bridge above Coventry Ring Road today.



The man eventually came down off the Canal Basin footbridge.

A road closure was put in place during the incident.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We were called at 11.23am to reports of a man on the bridge.

“We’ve attended and the man has come down from the bridge.”

The incident was resolved by 12.32pm.
