Peugeot headquarters in Coventry is advertised for rent...

Postby dutchman » Thu Oct 22, 2015 2:55 pm

The company’s 100,000sqft headquarters and 60,000sqft technical centre at Pinley House is now advertised for rent by agents Geraldacre.

But bosses at Peugeot insisted the firm was merely exploring its options following the Europe-wide company restructure which prompted last year’s job cuts.

David Connell, director at PSA Peugeot Citroen, said: “We have been through a number of restructuring exercises over the last few years which means we have more office space than we now need.

“We are looking at different options to optimise space, that doesn’t mean we would leave this base. We have advertised the site to see if there is any interest.

“We remain committed to the local area no matter what happens.

“No decision has been taken, but our commitment is to remain in the local area.

“There are no plans to move the operations to France, Europe or anything like that.”

The Co-Op said exactly the same thing when their Corporation Street building was advertised for sale!
