The male pedestrian was hit by the vehicle in Mercer Avenue, Stoke Heath, yesterday afternoon.

An off-duty nurse carred out CPR until ambulance crews arrived.

Sadly the man was confirmed dead at the scene by paramedics.

Police closed Mercer Avenue at Swancroft Road last night.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the service sent two ambulances at 4.40pm, and a Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was also dispatched.

Coun Rachael Lancaster, public services cabinet member, said not enough people cross that road to warrant changes.

Maybe that's because they think it's dangerous?

And let's not forget this is the woman who wanted to put a crossing on the Ring-road. :clown: :clown: :clown:
