Police were called to reports of gunshots in Tile Hill last night.No-one has been injured or arrested.
There were reports in a number of roads – one of which was Bantock Road.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 7.27pm last night to reports of gunshots in the Tile Hill area of Coventry.
“Enquiries are ongoing.
“There have been no reported injuries and no-one arrested at this stage.”
Coun Steven Thomas (Lab, Woodlands) tweeted that he had received a number of calls about the incident.
He said: “Nobody has been found with a bullet wound, but there was a suggestion of a firearm used in the area; this was reported by more than one person.
“The police are making door-to-door enquiries at present, but they do not believe there is any threat to the general public. They consider that any incident which took place is now over.
“I hope this puts residents’ minds at rest.”

For a supposedly gun free country we seem to have these events occurring more and more frequently. It is time to ask just how these guns are getting into the country.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
