Woman's hair set on fire in Nuneaton nightclub attack

Police have released CCTV of a group of men they want to speak to after a woman was assaulted in a Nuneaton nightclub.



The victim, a 31-year-old woman from Bedworth, was in Fever nightclub in Newdegate Street on Saturday, May 2, at around 11.30pm when a man set fire to her hair. She suffered minor injuries.

The suspect - who left the nightclub through the back door - is a white man, who was wearing a white shirt and dark jeans.

PC Adam James from Nuneaton Town Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “This is a seemingly senseless, unprovoked attack which could have resulted in serious injuries.

“Thankfully, the victim was not seriously injured though the incident has been very distressing for her. We are very keen to hear from the three men pictured in the CCTV and urge them, or anyone who knows them, to get in contact as soon as possible.”

Police are asking anyone who recognises the men pictured, or the men themselves to come forward by calling 101, quoting incident number 356 of 2nd May 2015.
