Masked robbers beat a man with an iron bar and punched his daughter in the face during in a terrifying robbery in
Coventry.

Four or five men broke in a house in Woodhill Rise, Holbrooks, and demanded jewellery from the occupants.

The 59-year-old homeowner was punched and hit with the iron bar, suffering facial injuries and damage to his teeth.

His 25-year-old daughter was punched in the face.

Det Con Claire Phillips, said: “This was a shocking attack on a family whose home was invaded and violated as the offenders ransacked their belongings, it has left the family devastated.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact me on 101.”

The incident happened on August 30 at around noon.
