Car explodes on Stoke street in the early hours this morning

Photos posted on Twitter show the dramatic moment when a car exploded in Coventry earlier this morning.



One fire engine from Binley rushed to the incident in North Street, Stoke, at 4am.

The flames also spread to a nearby telegraph pole and damaged a house window.

Fire crews spent an hour at the scene and tackled the flames using a hose reel. Luckily no-one was hurt.

The incident is being treated as arson.
