One hundred new homes for Coventry in the pipeline

Postby dutchman » Tue Mar 11, 2014 3:47 pm

A new 100-home estate moved a step closer to being built after Coventry planning chiefs approved the proposals.

Developers Wareing and Company submitted plans for the homes off Holbrook Way – north of St Paul’s cemetery and south of Lythalls Lane – and the city council’s planning committee have given them the green light, subject to agreements over monies for education.

Vehicle access to the homes would be from the new roundabout on Holbrook Way, while pedestrians and cyclists would be able to get to the homes via both Holbrook Way and Lythalls Lane.

Negotiations are currently ongoing over a Section 106 agreement for education with the developers having offered a contribution of £279,291 while city council requested £413,559.
