Two wards at Warwick Hospital have been closed to visitors due to a suspected outbreak of norovirus and flu.

Norovirus, also known as the winter vomiting bug, is suspected in the Avon Ward, and Malins Ward has been closed due to flu.

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust said visitors would be considered "on compassionate grounds only".

Visiting is restricted to 14:00-16:00 GMT and 18:00-20:00 for the rest of the site.

Hospital visiting restrictions eased

Visiting restrictions at Warwick Hospital, imposed after suspected outbreaks of norovirus and flu, have been eased.

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust said visiting Avon Ward could take place between 14:00-16:00 and 18:00-20:00 GMT.

Visiting can take place as normal on all other wards, the trust said.
