Police hunt three men after terrifying ordeal for staff

Three masked men armed with hammers raided a shop in Coventry and stole cash.

Police are appealing for information after the trio went into The Co-operative Food store in Sutherland Avenue, Mount Nod, at 8pm on January 21.

Police say they threatened staff before escaping with a small amount of cash.

It’s understood that the bravery of staff in the shop prevented the robbers from escaping with anything else.

Detectives have trawled CCTV and are still making inquiries. Call 101 if you can help.
