A 20-year-old man has been charged after fire crews on an emergency call were allegedly targeted with a laser.
Police said the fire engine was responding to a call in the Hillfields area of Coventry on Thursday when the laser pen was shone into the vehicle.
West Midlands Fire and Rescue said nobody was injured.
A man from Bath Street has been charged with causing danger to road users and is due to to appear at Coventry Magistrates' Court on 22 November.
