PLANS for a development of almost 100 houses in the north east of Coventry have been submitted to the council.
Applicant Hallam Land Management wants to build the homes on a former sports ground, off Shilton Lane.
The site backs onto the Boat Inn pub, in Shilton Lane, and the Aldermans Green Industrial Estate.
In the planning statement, the applicant says: “The application site is a discreet and self-contained parcel of land which lies within the urban area of this part of Coventry.
“The land has a degraded unkempt and derelict appearance being a former sports ground which has not been used as such for ten years or more.”
There is also a burnt out pavilion on the site.
The outline plan is for 98 new homes, 24 of which would be affordable.
