As the country prepared to put the clocks forward an hour for British Summer Time, a vintage fair was held in Priory Place.

It featured retro clothes, jewellery, food and trinkets.

The Vintage & Hand Made Fair in Priory Place on Saturday also featured wartime music and a vintage tea shop. Vintage makeovers were also on offer.

Jo Truslove, Priory Place marketing manager, organised the fair to offer shoppers an alternative to the high street.

She said: “It’s about getting vintage and retro out there because it’s more of a big thing in some cities but it hasn’t taken off in Coventry.

“I thought it would be a good thing for the city centre because it offers something different. It also supports people who have got small businesses that wouldn’t be able to trade in the city centre because it’s too expensive for them. It would be great to hold another one.”
