A Coventry butcher has been crowned king of the sausage makers in a prestigious regional competition.Anthony Fowler, aged 24, has been named best young sausage maker in the Midlands after impressing judges with his Moroccan-inspired sausage.
He works for Bosworth’s Butchers, in Cheylesmore, which also scooped an array of other awards for its sausage and bacon products in the Butchers Roadshow and Pork Product Excellence Awards.
Anthony said: “I couldn’t be happier. I based the Moroccan Sausage on another variety we were already selling in the shop, but tweaked the recipe and changed the seasoning.
“Our customers really liked it so I thought it would make a good entry.”
