Coventry road closure causing 'chaos'

THE closure of a Coventry road has caused "chaos", drivers said.

Quinton Road in Cheylesmore shut on Saturday for two weeks for resurfacing.

Motorists said it meant heavy traffic and long queues at junctions five and six of the ring road this morning.

One taxi driver said: "It's caused so much chaos.

"The ring-road is chock-a-block, why didn't they do the work during half-term?"

National Express buses 2, 3 and 3A will divert via Mile Lane, Queen Isabel’s Avenue and Daventry Road. Quinton Road will not be served. Virgin Trains urged people to allow extra time to get to Coventry Station.
