Most river levels across Coventry and Warwickshire are falling after heavy rain and melting snow caused localised flooding on Sunday and Monday.

The Environment Agency has scaled-back the morning's eight flood alerts and six flood warnings.

There are now five flood alerts and one flood warning, affecting the Leam at Eathorpe, Hunningham and Offchurch.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for "heavy and persistent" rain on Tuesday from the south west.

Dave Throup, from the Environment Agency, said: "The important thing is, it's a rapidly changing situation and we have got a very unsettled forecast.

"We do expect the rivers to be responding so please keep up to date with the warnings."

The Sherbourne (along with the Sowe) is a tributary of the River Avon and wasn't any higher than usual this evening.
