COVENTRY ring road was partially blocked this morning due to black ice after a woman drove her vehicle in to the central reservation.
The crash happened near the Butts Road junction at 8.30am and police were redirecting traffic off at the Holyhead Road junction.
The woman was taken to University Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The vehicle was removed from the anti-clockwise carriageway by 9.10am while delays continued in both directions.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "We were called out to a car blocking the road and the ring road was closed off.
"Street services have been called in to de-ice the road."
The ring road has now been reopened.
