
ALMOST one in five people living in Coventry were born abroad, the 2011 Census has revealed.
The fascinating snapshot of life in the city revealed that of the 316,960 residents, two-thirds were classed as ‘white British’, while 4.6 per cent were born in EU countries outside the UK and Ireland, and 14.7 per cent were born outside the EU.
The data also shows almost one in four Coventrians consider themselves as having no religion, while 53 per cent are Christian.
The city has also grown since the last census – with 16,000 more people.
