Trains between Coventry and Nuneaton replaced by buses today

BUS services are replacing London Midland trains between Coventry and Nuneaton today.

Road transport will replace trains cancelled because of a driver shortage between 1.30pm and 6.30pm.

An exodus of trained drivers is still causing problems for the rail provider with five shifts not being covered today - cancelling 39 train services across the region.

A traffic accident has closed a main road through Church Lawford, near Rugby, this morning.

Lawford Heath Lane was closed in both directions during morning rush hour between the Lawford Heath junction and The Ryelands junction.

Another road accident was reported near Rugby at around 10am at Hillmorton, on the A428 Hillmorton Road at the Rainsbrook Avenue junction.

It followed a road collision at 9.40am at Chesterton, near Warwick. The crash happened at the junction of the Fosse Way and Harbury Lane.
