The actor, who plays Tyrone in the ITV soap will be meeting fans and signing autographs when he opens the Midcounties Co-op Travel shop in the Parade.

The new store has created eight jobs.

Also entertaining at the launch will be pupils from Campion School who will be performing live music.

Mascots Little Pioneers, from Co-operative Childcare, will also put in a special appearance.

Halsall will officially open the store at noon.

Natalie Turner, head of branches at Midcounties said: “We are a member-owned and independent business with more than 90 years of travel experience.

"Our new branch is a great opportunity to serve the local community and we wanted to create a real buzz around the launch. We moved our headquarters to Warwick so the area is important to us and opening in Leamington will help to grow our links here.”
