A lorry crashed into a railway bridge near Southam on Tuesday.

Police were called to the incident in Marton, near Southam, at 12.35pm.

The incident happened on the A423 Oxford Road near the North Street junction.

A Warwickshire Police spokesman said officers arrived to find a high-topped lorry had been in collision with a disused railway bridge, causing damage to the trailer, and bricks were on the road.

Officers managed traffic and informed county council highways officials to clear the scene of debris.
