One person died while at work in Warwickshire and 229 suffered a major injury last year, according to latest figures.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) issued a warning about workplace safety as it revealed a rise in UK-wide deaths in the year to March 2011.
The figures show that major workplace injuries in Coventry and Warwickshire are down for 2010/11.
There were 229 major injuries in Warwickshire and 110 for Coventry.
Another 922 workers suffered an injury or ill health, which required them to take at least three days off work in 2010/11, compared with 1,030 in 2009/10.
In 2009/10, one person died at work in Warwickshire, while 264 suffered major injuries. In the same year, 147 people in Coventry sustained major injuries at work.
