Morrisons doesn't have the room for manouvre the other chains have. They don't have a clubcard or sell high ticket items they can claw back the costs from the way Tesco does. It's also the only big store around here for miles.

Commonly known in the trade as "Bullshit of the highest order" and they know customers will fall for it
