Driver found dead in crashed car near Stockton

A man has been found dead in a car in Warwickshire after crashing into trees.



A cyclist spotted a red Renault Clio among dense trees and shrubbery off Rugby Road near Stockton at about 07:35 BST.

Police said the man had not been formally identified yet. It is not known how long the car had been in the trees before it was discovered.

The car was facing in the direction of Southam but was not easily visible from the road.

Anyone travelling along the A426 Rugby Road who may have seen the Renault Clio being driven, is asked to contact Warwickshire Police.
