A number of flights to Liverpool's John Lennon airport have been diverted to East Midlands and Doncaster airports due to foggy weather conditions.
Visibility on the runway was reported to be reduced to 300m at times, an airport spokesman said.
The airport recommended that travellers call their airline or travel agent for further details.
Earlier ferry services on the River Mersey were cancelled because of the fog.
