BBC Coventry and Warwickshire journalists strike

BBC Coventry and Warwickshire staff have walked out over redundancy fears this morning.



Journalists for the radio station joined a national 24-hour strike which is affecting the broadcaster’s TV and radio output.

A picket line formed outside the station’s office in Priory Place, Coventry city centre.

Vanessa Pearce, branch National Union of Journalists official, said 15 of the station’s 20 journalists would not be turning up for work today.
